I don't trust the frame on my 3050 enough to add the extra stress of a gooseneck hookup.

I think it would be good if you have a 5th wheel or gooseneck that is very low in the front. Mean you wouldn't have to flip the axles on the trailer which reduces stability. Of course, most current...
