Yup, level up first then put the slides out, if you do it the other way round you run the risk of binding something up.

I am guessing they are using the Lippert Level Up system (https://www.lci1.com/level-up). It looks pricey if you want it installed aftermarket. I am not sure exactly which system you want/need. Prices...
