Yes...two weeks ago in Sedona, AZ...I was installing a magnetic door stop for the bathroom door. Drilled a 1/16" hole where I had marked...and went though the top and bottom of a hot water...

Another thing one can do is go to the local hardware store and get one of those "buttons" that fills a drilled hole and has a head like a carriage bolt. Use 'em all the time.
