I am getting right at that same mileage. My first run was from Arizona to Utah last summer and I was getting right at 7.5 mpg. The drive home I averaged 9.5 mpg. Seems it is uphill most of the way...

The power cord I was referring to is the big fifty amp cord that attachs your RV to city power. Mine is stored on a big reel that is right inside the door that your water connections, dump valves etc...

You say she replaced the regulator. Do you mean the pressure regulator at the where the water hose connects to the city water? If it is leaking behind the panel chances are one of the connections...
