It might not be a problem in the lower 48, but I sure wouldn't want to be dragging a camper around Alaska with only 3/8" clearance between the axle and any part of the under carriage. To me anytime...

I stand corrected, I have never seen that kit before. I have seen some disasters, were guys thing they can jury rig something up. They weren't pretty when the axles decide to do something...

Or you could just go look at a new one on the RV stealership lot and see if it's the same.


Flipping axles is a very common thing, a lot of campers need that extra 3+" so the tail won't drag on...

That sure sounds like they should have have used an axle hung under the springs.

Yes it can be "flipped", but what that really means is you have to weld on a set of spring saddles under the axle...

Wouldn't surprise me if they installed the wrong axle or put a bigger tank than it's supposed to have. :eek:
