Bruce,
ABS is used for drains while PVC is for supply. Home Depot or Lowes should have ABS but any plumbing store would carry it.

Note in one of the pictures above there is a label that states "Grease bars daily" Not all bars are the same so check yours. I don't grease my ball though many people do.

That's a good idea to add to mine! I find the caps keep the grease clean when I have the bars on the ground while I'm getting things hitched up. I'll go look for a suitable bag to keep them in in...

Should still work, the bungee would hold it when you connect to the chains.

Here you go! Pretty simple to make and cheap too! The bungee pulls the cap at an angle so they don't fall off.

I made some caps from 1 1/2" ABS pipe which fit over the greasy end. I put caps on the pipe and drilled a hole into the middle of the cap where I put an eye bolt. ...
