I'd say at least twice as heavy... but, that said, I still have no problem raising the bed platform to gain access to storage.

I replaced my mattress with a Tempur-Pedic "Weightless Supreme" model last November... BEST modification I've made to my rig so far!!

Yeah, it's heavier... but I gotta tell you, I sleep GOOD! ...
