Not sure which one you need to change but dealer changed mine out to 80 amp a couple years ago with no issues to date. All new ones now come with 80 amp. Just my experience.

There are no wiring diagrams. In fact, almost no RV's have them. Built on an assembly line with each worker running their wires their own way. Wait till you open up a cover or drop the underbelly....

Feel bad for you. I've done some self-inflicted damage myself. Think most of us have. For 7 grand, I'd probably have gone insurance route. Glad you're fixed and back on the road.

No separate battery. Charge up all the way. From what I've been told, the amount of charge due to wiring, etc. that tow vehicle puts out is pretty small.
