That does not appear to be the proper pin for that hole. Is it the same pin as the "foot pad"?
My 3950 has an altogether different style of pin that goes through that part of the leg....

Place both thumbs near the center of the bottom...

Place both thumbs near the center of the bottom while your fingers are along the top. Squeeze and push up with your thumbs at the same time.

So far we have been (on separate trips) to S.C., Va.,N.Y.,Ky.,
Cal., and Texas. Stopovers in Ga., N.C., Pa., Al., Miss., La. and Arizona.
