Question AC electrical issues

New Dutchmen Rainier 2009 owner. We tripped a circuit breaker and now even after resetting it there is no power to the kitchen outlets. Is it possible the breaker is defective? Are replacement breakers available anywhere? Is there some other action go restore this circuit?

There is a GFI outlet that needs resetting on an outlet either in the kitchen area or bathroom

You might want to look for a GFCI outlet somewhere. What caused the breaker to open?

Tried the GFCI reset - didn't restore power

Thanks for the reply. I pushed buttons on the GFCI outlet but that didn't restore power. i also reset related breakers. Still no power to the kitchen.

Other ideas?

I told my wife about the GFCI in the bathroom. She thinks she reset it. I tried again this morning and still no power. Is it possible that the receptacle itself needs to be replaced?

Let's say they aren't the best in an RV. I have replaced one in a 2012 so yours could be bad. Anything is possible but a check with a VOM will tell the tale.

Get yourself a tic tracer. They are inexpensive and will tell you if you have power going to it or not. really simple.

You may also have more than one GFI...

I had a similar problem. I checked the GFCI outlet in the bathroom. When I removed the outlet, found the wires had shorted and burned apart. The GFCI outlet was still working, but nothing downstream had power. Repaired the wires and replaced outlet. Fixed problem. You should inspect the GFCI outlet in your rig. If you are not familiar working with electrical, shut off all electrical power to trailer before inspecting outlet. Better yet, get an electrician to check it out.

If you have two 110v circuits, then you have two separate GFCI. Get a tester. Sometimes the GFCI can go bad.

Hello, make sure you have in fact re set the breaker, just turning it on from the tripped position does not always do it. Make sure you turn the breaker all the way off and then re set it, there shood be noticeable resistance and a click. Good luck
