My F350 SRW is squatting a little

I have a Voltage 3200 and when hooked up with air glide hitch it squats my truck. Has anyone added a extra spring to their truck to help? My truck is a new 2016 HD 4x4 F350 with camper package.

Check out "Torklift Stableloads." That's what I use. Easy to install.

Hi Ted, I have a 16 F-350 with a GVWR of 11500, with the 3605 hitched up I'm still a little nose high. Do you not have the overload springs? It sits just above the main spring assembly. I wish mine would sag a little more. With the camper package I'm almost sure you would have the overloads, I assumed all 350's would have them? I have a slightly used set of airbags that I had on my 12 F250...I'd make you a heck of a deal on.

I have the F350 4x4 long bed camper package with the 5th wheel package. Why do you wish it squatted a little more? I may be interested in the air bags... not sure yet. I'm wondering if I have a 5th wheel hitch (Air Ride) that is the wrong size or something... All my hitch weight is 2+ feet back from the center of the B & W hitch.

So you have the B&W companion hitch in the truck and an air ride pin box on the camper? I'm not familiar with that type of b&w hitch, is there any adjustment to slide it forward any? Maybe some one on here is familiar with it and can advise. Or I'd maybe run back by the dealer and have them take a look.

I have the short box and the camper is an inch or two high in front, so my point was that if it pushed the suspension down (sagged) another inch the camper would sit level.

Sorry for the confusion but the hitch on the camper is a Trail Air... Not sure what the heck I was thinking. It has no adjustments forwards or backwards.

Ok Trail Air on the camper so what hitch do you have in the truck bed?

Ok and that hitch slides right into where your ball fits into the floor, am I correct on that? And if so isn't the fifth wheel plate directly above that? There should be some adjusting holes on each side to move the plate forward a little. From the picture the truck sags a little but is the camper level?

That is the problem I believe. If you look at the pictures closely, the steel coming from the 5th wheel comes down and goes out about two feet where it connects to the truck. I wonder if something is wrong with the unit on the 5th wheel. It looks normal but there is no way to slide it forwards or backwards only a little tilt. This is a big name 5th wheel hitch as I understand...

Look at that picture under my name....

You might have your dealer take a look. You might want to check into those Torklifts, would be an easier install than airbags and be just enough to correct the sag.

The B&W Companion Pivot arms can be assembled to position the Kingpin either 3" behind the axel, or 1" behind the axel (closer to the cab). You can also set the hitch height in 3 different positions, with a 1" difference between positions. With a full 8' bed, you should be able to use position closer to the cab, moving the weight forward. If you have a short bed, not sure. Either way, suggest you measure per B&W's instructions.

You should also be able to adjust the position of the kingpin assembly up/down in two inch increments. It's a lot easier & quicker to adjust the hitch. I recently replaced the factory Lippert pin box with a MORryde rubber pin box. Removing/moving/reinstalling the pin box can be done by one person, but it would be a lot easier with a helper.

I have the Ford factory (4 point) hitch base and the B&W companion fifth wheel like you. The adjustment on the companion allows you to move the hitch forward and back about 2-3 inches as well as adjust the height. You need to unbolt the side (silver) upright arms from the B&W companion base and move them to the opposite side of the base. That moves everything forward. With your F350 you may also want to make sure you are setting them in the lowest height holes when you reassemble everything. Be sure to torque everything back to specs. Making this change will make a noticeable difference in the ride as it moves the hitch up over the rear axle.
Hope this helps.

Thanks... I wonder if two inches would be enough of a difference? Anything is better than what I have at the moment.

I just went out and looked at hitch and it is in the lowest setting. There is 4 bolts each side. Take them out and move to opposite side and bolt back. How about that little spring lever? Just pop it off and move it the the other side I guess. Dang I wish the installing this had done that... You think that will make the difference? Thanks again... Great Help!

If you don't have the original install instructions, you can find them here:
