Dutchmen Factory Tours-IN?

Has anyone toured the facility in IN? Also has Dutchmen every had an "Owners Rally" there in IN? Just joined and trying to find out more. Some friends recently went to a Forest River Factory Rally and raved about the service/repairs they received. Thanks

At the recent Hershey RV Show I spoke to the Voltage Rep and told him the same thing. I will e-mail him with this post and see what they say. I have been to Heartland Rally's which were the same way.

Amazingly, these people at Dutchmen are not very up close and personal. They are not Heartland people, nor Redwood people, or even Montana people. These companies that I have just mentioned actually enjoy the RV people/customers that have purchased their units. They genuinely appreciate the relationship between them as a manufacturer and the customer.

I wish I could say the same for Dutchmen. I have found them to be very evasive. During my one year of warranty they did what was asked, just barely.

As far as doing anything at the factory...........you might see all the major mistakes they make in production of these units.

Good luck in getting something going.

All we can do is try. If we just sit and expect change to take place it never will. I sent an e-mail one of the Dutchmen individual who is now on the Forum. A week ago that was not the case. I truely believe there are some Dutchmen employees who are trying to make a change to the company. Will it happen all at once absolutely not. However, that should never stop us ALL from trying. To truely build a Brand you need good customers. The more we can promote that the better chance we have.

If Dutchmen will not initiate a Rally in Goshen then the Owners Group should. I tried to have a Rally earlier this year and only had two people sign up. Is there an interest by everyone to have a Rally in Goshen and show Dutchmen we are serious? If so, what are good dates? I'm sure we could have speakers, side events and hopefully a tour. Is there interest?

Gonervn, We are interested, if the plan comes out six months in advance (that way we don't double book that weekend). The Goshen Indiana Fairgrounds is a popular place for Brand specific rallies and is near most of the RV manufacturing facilities.

Bill, unfortunately, Leo and I would not be able to attend - to far to travel for a weekend......but we wish you luck in organizing one!

Leo and I organize a small mini M&G for the Sunline Owners Club once a year - the Sunline guys and girls "let us" even though we no longer have our Sunline....it will be this weekend. Hope you get some interest now that the Dutchmen Club is "growing"!
