towing help !

I am buying a 2008 Dutchmen 36F from a dealer that is super clean and exactly what I have been looking for. I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado with towing package and hitch. I have a wdh hitch also. Question is this: My tongue weight is 1052lbs and my hitch is maxed out at 1100 lbs. My truck is rated at 9500 lbs and trailer weighs in at 8000 lbs empty. I have a 1 time 2 leg trip to take camper on and am wondering if you guys think I can do it safely. 1st leg is to my house about 35 miles away from dealer. (I'm in Central Southern North Carolina). Fairly flat land. 2nd leg is to Myrtle Beach, SC, approximately 140 miles away, again mostly flat pulling. I have pulled campers for many years but none this big or heavy. Since I am not over but I am right at my max will it be safe to tow this 1 time only. I will put all equipment in a 2nd vehicle so no extra weight on camper.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Rookie guy here, but I was told that there is a mandatory 10% safety factor built in on tow weights. Just what I heard.

As this is just a one time trip I don't see a problem. I towed this as a one time trip.
Dealer asked your going to tow with a F-150Click image for larger version

I think your OK, since its all flat, just watch out for the winds....I towed my new Voltage V3895 about 75 miles, over mountains 9K, with a Chevy 2500 Short Bed SW and I was right on the limits, My truck was on order, I now have a Chevy 3500HD CC LB DRW with Air Bags. Your truck is still new, but I think you will have to upgrade, since you don't have anything in it. You will add more then a couple Hundred powers?

I had a similar situation where I was maxed on tongue weight and at over 80% on total weight and it did fine. The issue was a couple of hills but with a WDH and brake controllers your car should do fine. I think others have warned to just not exceed the overall GVWR weight of the vehicle. If others can clear that up then that would be the only concern. Do the math and make sure your at or under on all weights and it should be fine.

thanks for the replies

OK. Thanks guys for the replies. I just got home with my new to me trailer. The guys at the dealer are great help as well as great people to deal with. Got the trailer hooked up properly as per dealer and left out with a level smooth pull for the leg home. 35 Miles. As good as I suspected but even much better than I thought it would. Took my time and used my common sense and did not have a problem. Would not go to mountains but I think if I do same when I head out to beach I will be fine. If ever in the area of Albemarle, N. C. and need camper help, look up Dixie Camper Sales on Highway 52 just north of town.. Excellent guys to deal with. Take care and have a happy summer of camping.
