Sway Control

Just done ou first trip & thinking about some Sway Control. Only due to the fact of the strong winds in Alberta Just wondering what you guys think of the Dual Cam Sway Control System.

Good question....I have heard a lot of good stuff about sway control....our trailer tracks pretty good...mind u we haven' t towed during heavy winds nor on flat land for any long period of time.. I think any thing that increases your comfort level and safety is a good thing.

Can't comment on the Dual Cam, but sure do like my Equal-i-zer!

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered the E2 equalizer today, wanted to upgrade from the older Reese bar and chain that I've been using for years and wanted to add sway control. The E2 has sway control and is made by the same company that makes the equal-i-zer. It wasn't cheap but should be the last EQ that I will have to buy and safer than the old worn out chunk of steel and chain I've been using.

I 2 like the look of the E2 Equalizer but i have spent that much money lately i think im going to go with the Dual Cam system & see how that goes. Show us a pic Daryl when you get her hooked up..

No, I do not use the jackets on my setup. Equal-i-zer makes a grease for the hitch that I use. I put it on where the jacket goes, plus where the spring arms rub under the hitch head and on the ball itself. No noise at all and the grease does not take away from the sway control. But I do like the looks of the jackets. Might have to look into those as it would be cleaner than applying grease....

I have the reese dual cam anti-sway setup and my trailer still moves around a lot (311BH & F350). If I really crank hard on the chains the sway is vastly reduced, which makes me believe without the dual cams I would have serious sway issues. I wouldn't go without them now. Coming down Deerfoot from Sunridge on a day that I could barely see downtown due to the wind and dust, I had a real sway moment passing a semi and was glad I had them.
