Receiver hitch holes are oval

I read alot about why the hitch on my 6 month old 2016 Chevy 2500HD 4 door has ovalled holes. Some say trailer brakes not set properly. Some say poor quality metal in the hitch. What's your opinions?
I am pulling a 2017 Coleman 300TQ Toyhauler with a 1031lb tongue weight, 6800lb dry weight and a GVW of under 10,000 lbs. I have an Equalizer Dist hitch (1000/10,000)

Hey Buddy I answered you post with a suggestion on the 300tq thread on how the same thing happen to me.

That happened to me a few Toy Haulers ago. The reason was I was using a angled receiver pin. With the slop in the receiver and the constant pushing left and right from the anti sway bars caused the angled part of the pin to oblong the hole in the hitch.

I fixed it so it would not happen again by using a 5/8" bolt with washers and nylock nut as a receiver pin. To stop the slop in the hitch I use one of these. It stops all the movement in the receiver.
Hitch tightener: no wobble, anti rattle stabilizer device for hitch accessories

Googling this issue yields results for only chevy vehicles having this issue. Using a straight pin may help. I have a similar weight on my trailer and my tundra barely has paint scraped off the hitch. I do lube everything with enough bearing grease to need two tubs though lol
