Curt Weight Distribution System

Looking Information for Head adjustment for a
Curt Weight Distribution System C17062 Round Bar - 10K GTW, 800-1K TW There is a pin with 6 washers used to adjust the head so spring bars have the right tension.
I'm replacing a Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system that is to light for my trailer, on this Reese it uses all 6 washers.
The Reese is 10000 lbs. [GTW]; 550 lbs. [TW] came with the 2015 Dutchmen Kodiak Express Ultra Lite I bought two months ago from the original owners, so it was to light from the Dealer.
The trailer weighs 4,300 dry, with 516 lbs TW, loaded it weighs 5700lbs with 780lbs TW.
I'm thinking because the Curt is rated 800-1,000 TW it would use 5 washer for 800TW, and 6washers for 1,000TW
What say you??
The photo below is the Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system as you can see the bars are bowing.

Here is a link to the Curt 17062 instructions:
https://assets.curtmfg.com/masterlib.../17062_INS.pdf

Here are the instructions for the Reese 4990:
https://www.towingproducts.net/appli...ons/N49901.pdf

Bars on weight distribution hitch are springs. They are meant to bend. See instructions for towing capacity.

Thank you, I have read the instructions, "Step 3
Place six 1/2" flat washers (#19) on pin (#18) and insert pin
into the unthreaded hole in the upper portion of the head
channel. See Figure 5. The number of washers may have to be
adjusted later".
The problem is that Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system is 10000 lbs. [GTW]; 550 lbs. [TW] and my trailer loaded is 5700lbs GTW with 780lbs TW.
The Reese replacement Bars (58441) to increase TW to 800 or 1,000 are Obsolete, and can not be bought any where.
What I was hoping to know is if there was anybody that has installed the
Curt Weight Distribution System C17062 Round Bar - 10K GTW, 800-1K TW.
Yes the instruction states use 6 washers to set up the head and to The number of washers may have to be adjusted later.
When the Curt product gets delivered I will try setting the head up with 5 washers and check the truck for proper rear and front measurements.
So is there any body that has installed Curt Weight Distribution System C17062
Thank you.

I found that it is mostly trial and error. You can set it initially then make adjustments to the tilt of the ball and the bars to lift the front end of the truck and spread the load a bit more. Your RV is not that heavy. I adjusted mine over several trips taking into consideration the actual feel of the truck and the lightness in the steering wheel. My RV Weighed 10k. Typically you want things as level as possible with weight on both axles of the RV (RV level_not nose down or up) and the truck level also. This picture was taken as a part of the fine tuning process. The front end was a bit light back then.

Thank you, yeah that's what I did with the Reese that came with the trailer.
But the original owners had a system that was not rated high enough.
I have never heard of Curt systems,
But the cost for the complete set up 10,000 , 1,000tw was only 277.98 dollars.
That's why I was hoping to hear from other Curt users.
All good the Curt should be delivered today.

update Curt round spring bars can be used in Reese round spring bar head

I received my new Curt Weight Distribution System C17062 Round Bar - 10K GTW, 800-1K TW.
Nice Set up, Now The rear of my truck is up where it is supposed to be, I installed it with all of the washers (6) in the head adjustments, The TW of my trailer is 866lbs.
Note: In the beginning of this looking to upgrade my Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system 10000 lbs. [GTW]; 550 lbs. [TW], I was told the Reese 49901 Upgrade Spring bars were obsolete no longer manufactured. (True)
When I called Curt to see if there Spring bars 10000 lbs. [GTW]; 1,000 lbs TW
Will fit a Reese 49901, they said NO.
I would like to Share that Curt Spring bars 10000 lbs. [GTW]; 1,000 lbs TW Fit
Perfect in a Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system.
I measured both Reese spring bars and Curt spring bars, They are both the same, +/- .005".
Check out photos, the Groove, length, OD Diameter, angle, both are the same
I hope this will save other people with the old obsolete Reese 49901 Weight Distributing system from having to but a whole complete Curt system when they can use the round Spring bars, in a Reese 49901 round spring bar head.

Curt C17062 Round Bar - 10K GTW, 800-1K TW in a Reese 49901 head.
Fits great, I even took her for a drive around, the truck handles much better.
It's to bad Curt couldn't tell me the truth about putting Curt Round bars in a Reese 49901 head. They fit perfect.
