Under belly

I have a voltage 2020 3551 and I want to put a couple extra d-rings in the garage. Anybody know how hard it is to loosen up the underbelly pan so that I can put fasteners from underneath?

My Voltage has no underbelly insulation or coverage under the garage… are you sure that your’s does?

If so, it can be a PITA depending on what was used when installed it at the factory (screws, brads, or rivets). Some people simply cut it along the along the chassis ribs, and then use tape to reseal it, rather than trying to deal with the fasteners.

I had to open up my underbelly also. I used a grinder to grind off the rivet heads to let the underbelly drop down. Used a punch and hammer to knock out the remaining part of the rivet than used the original holes to "screw" the underbelly back in place in case I had to open it up again. A PITA as stated before but it was doable.

Mine just has self tapping screws, not a big job. Better check a hold downs. One of mine was just screwed into wood. All the other ones had one screw into metal. The ones that had one screw in the metal and one in the wood I added fender washers with nuts on the ones in the wood.

Don’t you have 2 gas tanks under the garage area if it’s a Voltage?
