Stove

I feel extremely silly asking this but we bought a new 2013 Dutchmen in the spring and I tried to use the stove for the first time last weekend and couldn't figure out how to get it to fire up propane was running yes! lol I couldn't find any instructions on how to fire it up in the manual so I'm hoping someone can help!
Thanks... Sorry for being such a newbie

On our stove there are 4 knobs -

You will need to turn on the appropriate gas knob (#2, #3 or #4) and then turn knob #1 to act as the igniter. Sometimes it take awhile to get the propane up the stove.

We use a long lighter to light the oven in our camper, the igniter will not work and did not work in my raptor (same stove/oven) the raptor sat 1 month waiting on parts and quick working after the first camping trip, so we just bought extra long lighter and never looked back.

The stovetop burners on ours have the electric spark ignitors, but the oven does not. You need to light a pilot light which is located on the end of the main oven burner. The oven temp knob has "pilot" as the lowest setting. You need to put the dial on "pilot", push and hold that knob in to start the pilot light gas flow while using a long lighter to get the pilot light flame lit, hold the knob in for several more seconds after lit so the thermocouple gets heated up by the flame, then you can release the knob and the pilot should stay lit. Then turn the oven temp knob to the desired temp and the main oven burner should light off of the pilot. If you turn the oven temp knob back down to pilot, then the main burner shuts off but the pilot light stays on and you can fire the oven back up as needed. If you turn the oven temp knob all the way to off, then the pilot light goes out and you'll have to repeat the lighting process before the oven will fire up again.

The exhaust for the oven burner is from the vents at the rear of the stove top. Don't put anything on the vents to obstruct the exhaust. That exhaust is also very hot. Use the exhaust fan while operating the oven.

Mine is just like ewarnerusa. Why they did not put a thermocouple or thermopile on the stove is beyond me. It is a major pain to get down on the floor each time the stove needs lighting. The before listed items one or the other would have only required one lighting. Since the maker was so cheap at least the pilot could have been in the front. I will step off the soap box now.
Get a long grill lighter and and get on all fours to light that pig.
