That's why RV's come with air conditioners.

The common answers, i.e. microwave, convection, crock pot, etc, forget one important point. Electricity, that is 120VAC. In a no-grid, no-generator primitive camp, propane is your workhorse. The oven and the gas stove-top, though it takes you back to the 1950's, is all you have left. Many medium campers with a 30 Amp circuit are burning their plugs using AC for Fridge, Hot Water, Microwave, and Air Conditioning simultaneously. Personally, I believe propane does a better job of heating the components in a water heater and a fridge. Save your battery to run that 12Volt fan above the stove!

Oven

Being a full timer we don't use ours..its a waste of gas and heat a the entire trailer up..We purchased a toaster oven and use it more..Heats faster and doesn't use propane..it also cools faster..just my own opinion..

Propane oven

Most of our camping has been long weekends with an occasional week long trip, to various types of sites. We do most of our cooking out doors but I like the option of using the gas oven, especially on rainy days, or when boondocking.
We have used it to make pizza, corn bread, lasagna and reheat just about everything from spaghetti sauce to meat loaf to Jalapeno poppers.
We added a flat pizza stone to the very bottom of the oven, which eliminated the burned bottom problem, along with a small oven thermometer.. Our oven really holds the temperature very well.
I guess it just depends on what you plan to cook and how well your oven works..

We don’t use ours. I’d rather have the extra counter space & cabinets 😊
