Needing help with the thermostat wiring

We have a 2013 dutchmen voltage toy hauler and the other day the thermostat would not turn on. I tried a new thermostat hoping it was something simple, with no luck. I checked the voltage on the rj connector and was only showing 2 volts DC. I went to the main rooftop unit and check voltage at those rj connectors and had 12 volts dc there. Can anyone help me locate where the two rj connectors from the rooftop units connect into the single rj connector that runs to the thermostat? Has anyone replaced that phone type wire before? Is there any other trouble shooting that I should be doing, or am I running the wrong direction with my troubleshooting? Thanks for the help.

Check the reset button on your furnace. I think it provides 12 volts to the thermostat.
