Mucrowave- High Pointe

Has anyone ever found the problem isn't microwave but the circuit or circuit breaker?? Tried two from dealer and still keeps tripping the circuit breaker...
Ours is new 2015 Danali travel trailer

Try it on a different circuit, it would not surprise me if there was a bad circuit or bad breaker.

Microwave-circuit

Thank you- we put microwave on counter another circuit and it did not have any problems! Guess we have to take trailer in for testing! The microwave was powered by a 600 volt power cord. That seemed high to us...

That is just the rating for the insulation on the cord. The microwave is a 120 volt 12 amp rating. Check the data plate.

I am betting either a bad breaker or a loose connection in the circuit, not all that uncommon in an RV.

A voltage rating on a power cord is a function of the insulation, i.e. how much voltage can be withstood before arcing across the insulation. The diameter of the conductors, and the quality of the connectors determine how much amperage can be safely handled. So a cord rated for 600 volts is a good thing, i.e. lots of room for safety.

Thank you Aaron and Marty! We're going to check with dealership to have it checked out. We bought lots of coverage so hope it will resolve well.
Really appreciate the insight!

Just curious on how you got warranty work delivered on site. They didn't make you bring it in to a service center? Do they do this? I don't have an issue but it sure would be great down the road. Thanks

Microwave-circuit issues

I believe it is only because we just bought it brand new- two months ago and they want to keep us as happy customers...if it was another city- I doubt it would've worked out so well.
He did take pictures and the old breaker out with him.
There are repair guys in cans that come to campground but don't know their credentials.
Best of everything good for you

I recently had trouble with our high pointe convection oven Model EC028BNC-S. When the door was shut the turntable would turn and the inside light would stay on. keypad would not function. I found that the trim around the microwave was pushing against the bottom of the door. i replaced one of the screws on the bottom right side of the microwave with a longer one with 2 washers on it keeps the trim from pushing on door. works great now.

Got a picture? Was this a manufacturing issue, or an installation issue?
