Maxxair fan lid adjustment

Two of my three fans for the past couple of seasons when opening will reach fully open and appear to "slip" and drop a bit and raise again to drop again. Each does this three times and then finally stops and remains open. All other fan functions are fine. Anyone experience this that cares to share the fix? Maybe there is an adjustment at the gearbox?

Thanks!

Maxxair lift operator fail

You will need to replace the "MaxxAir 10A20281K-1AF MaxxFan RV Roof Vent Operator". The new one is a little different but comes with instructions for replacement. I replaced two today. This is apparently a common problem as the part doesn't stay in stock very long. Try rvupgrades.com. Good luck and be careful on the roof!

Replaced all three operators. Took about 6 minutes total to do all three and only because I had to get back on the roof and redo them. Their instructions say to turn the shaft clockwise until it stops then back counterclockwise. The lids would not close and would over-open. So turned the shaft counterclockwise and the back clockwise. All is well. Simple fix! Thank you for the PN info!
