Keeping our cool

We purchased our 266RL (Denali) last May. We live in the south, so the a/c is critical. We even added the second a/c unit (non-ducted) in the bedroom and still can't keep the trailer cool during the heat of the day. This model has a lot of windows, wondering if what I love about the trailer is what is making us miserable in the summer. The windows are dark, but still considering adding a ceramic tinting product. Would love to hear from anyone else with same issues or possible resolutions.

I too live and camp in Northern Florida and have a Denali 5th wheel. We only have the one ducted unit and it works fine. Make sure the filter is clean as they get full rather quickly. The only time we ever had issue was June 2012 at Ft. Benning and the outside temp was 103. The unit struggled during the day, but cooled off at night. Other than that it has been fine.

Inspect your ductwork and vents for leaks. Seems the tape jobs are less than satisfactory and much of the cold air disappears into the ceiling. First thing I did to my new 3600 was to retape the vents. Next job will be to pull the livingroom and bedroom A/C units and retape the plenums, which from photos I've seen, need better quality control for the lousy taping job that blocks much of the air from the ductwork.
