Furnace caught fire

Has anyone have this happen to your furnace? We have a 2016 3990 voltage. Heard the furnace making noise removed the fireplace and saw this. It was glowing red hot. Shut the furnace off so the toy hauler wouldn't burn down. Now since we are in brutal cold in TX thinking that all our water lines and water pump and tank will freeze.

Wow—very scary. Glad you were able to put it out. I hope you can get it fixed with the cold weather. If you are plugged in to shore power you should look into getting some ceramic heaters but they draw a ton of power so likely only one per circuit.

Good luck and glad you are okay.

I have heard of bugs getting in there as well as other rodents building nests and catching fire. Otherwise you must have a hole in your firebox

Electrical

The damage may be from an electrical fire just inside the box.
