Fireplace not putting out heat

So I have this greystone unit. The light show works, but it's not putting out any heat that I can tell. What are my first steps to getting this thing back to working order?

In case it matters, this is a 2015 voltage.Click image for larger version

Does the blower and heat come on and then go off?

Sundancer, My fire place is doing that, it has done that on and off for last two years. Seems like after a drive and bumps it either works or it doesn't. I get a code 88 flashing that never stops. Any ideas? I have not figured out how to remove the fireplace. I have a Voltage 3605, I don 't see any screws or places to take it apart. Any help would be great.

If it’ s the same as mine, the decorative trim around the front slides UP about a half to 3/4 inch then comes off. Then you can access the screws

Mine is a flushmount just like the picture above. I pried off the front and discovered the way it really comes off. I reset the tabs on the back of the cover and, after replacing the bulbs with led lamps, I put it back on. The manufacturer of my fireplace says that if it does not heat, throw it away and get another one. On mine, the lamps will not go off so I just live with it since it works (heat). Since I replaced the lamps with led, it takes hardly any electricity.
