Fan-Tastic Fan Cover

We have the automatic Fan-Tastic fan above the galley. I am sure others have the same. I like that it will automatically kick on at 78 F. The company makes a cover for it that to me looks like you should be able to use the fan when going down the road as it will keep the stresses off the dome cover of the fan, however (and I may be blind) I am not seeing any reference to doing that on the web site.

Does anyone have this cover and can you use the fan while going down the road?

Chalkie,
We too have a Fan-Tastic Fan on our unit. I installed a Maxxair Fan Mate cover for it that allows it to work on the road. The only problem is when the Fan-Tastic Fan opens up the cover will not allow it to open all the way. I called Maxxair and asked about it and was told that the fan opener has a sensor that adjusts for this.
Fantastic-Fan now offers an Ultrabreeze cover that looks like it allows for the fan cover to fully open. I would probably go with that versus the Maxxair Fan Mate cover.

Our vents/fan are always open when traveling - we have MaxAireII covers on two vents and the (1) Fantastic-fan.

Perfect! Thanks! I figured from the design it should work that way, I was just not finding a specific mention of that. I just clicked on order now on Amazon for the Ultrabreeze.
