3895 AC duct access

OK... I've read several threads about re-taping the AC ducts to improve the airflow. I want to do that.

I added an AC to the garage in my old toy hauler, so I would like to think I'm up to the task. But I've already hit a wall...

The 3895 does not have an AC ceiling assembly in the main living area, so I'm trying to figure out how to unbolt the upper unit and the access the ducts.

Apparently you have to remove the drop ceiling with the pendant lighting???

I would appreciate any advice on how this is done without tearing up anything!!!

THANKS

Would you not remove the A/C cover and find the bolts there?

Every RV I've owned has had AC's with ceiling assemblies, including the non-ducted garage & ducted bedroom AC's in the 3895, which the upper unit bolts on from the bottom up through the ceiling assembly. Therefore my assumption...

It would make sense that if there is no ceiling assembly that the upper unit would bolt down from the top???

I need to figure out the Dometic model number of the main living AC and get hold of an installation manual. I hope this is in my trailer paperwork, if not I'll look it up on line.

Thanks

Bedroom AC is ducted in the ceiling and through the roof.

Main Living AC is ducted in the ceiling only and accessible via the roof only, take the cover off remove 4 lag bolts, lift the ac off the roof to access the ceiling duct system.

Garage AC is not ducted and through the roof only.

I'm sure the 3895 is similar to the 3950 in this regard.

Thanks Grimtas...

Staying home this weekend and with 100 degree temps just around the corner, I want to get this off my TO DO LIST!!!

Another item on my TO DO LIST to improve the AC efficiency...

On my old Toy Hauler the lift rail on the Happi Jack bed/sofa had several holes for the bunk pins and it could be set up at different heights. My Voltage only has one set of bunk pin holes that set the top bunk up against the ceiling and restrict the airflow of the non ducted garage AC. I've figured I can drill some additional bunk pin holes in the lift rail about 1 ft down, this will set the top bunk where I'll still have plenty of clearance overhead and give the AC above more room to breath.
