2021 Astoria Fridge Issue

Hey everyone! We just bought a 2021 Astoria 3173RLP. This camper is on a permanent lot and hooked into the campgrounds utilities. We had to have a new 50 amp post put in for the RV. Our previous RV that was there was older and they required us to do the electric upgrade.The only issues we have now is the fridge is only on LP mode. It won’t stay on auto. We’ve followed the manual and held it down to reset and nothing. We have electric and can’t afford for it to always run on gas. Is there something we aren’t doing? We’ve checked the fuses. The fridge brand is called Domestic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We didn’t have this issue with out last RV and it was both electric and gas.

There should be three modes on your fridge. Usually there is auto, LP and AC. Auto will use AC (electric) if available otherwise runs on LP (liquid propane).

If you cycle through the settings and it will not work on AC only then you likely have an issue with your AC power supply. Same thing if auto only runs on LP.

The fact your fridge works on LP at least indicates the refrigerator is working so hopefully you can track down the electrical issue. There might be a mobile repair service that comes to the place you are set up. I would ask around.

Thanks. We had an electrician come check everything out and of course everything worked when they were there. We are going to stay the night tonight and see if we can get the fridge working. Electrical issues are a bit stressful is all!
