Water pump won't prime?

I have a 2012 Rubicon 2100 ( new to me) and city water works fine, pump will not prime. I have checked everything I can and even changed water pump with one that I knows works. Still no joy. I wanted to check where water line comes from fresh tank but that seems not possible without dropping water tank. Any suggestions please?

Basically two things, no water to the pump for some reason or air getting into the intake side of the pump. Looks as if you may have to drop the tank to see if the pump line is off or loose.

You could fill the tank to see if there is a water leak that might be coming from the pump connection.

I have checked intake line from pump back to the point it goes into the floor and don't see any problems. I'm assuming that if I want to see any more that I will have to drop fresh water tank? How hard is that job and how do I get started?

I can't help you there, removing the tank will be different between models and years. Best answer, make sure it's empty and get under there and start looking.
