Re: Water pump location

What model of Kodiak do you have? With our 284BHSL it's behind the bottom drawer in the kitchen area. You have to remove the drawer to access it.

You could just add water to the fresh water holding tank, flip on the pump switch and listen for where it is. It's pretty noticable...

Dave.

Do as Dave stated, but make sure you open a faucet while doing this for the pump to stay running. If all faucets ar closed, the pump will shut off after set pressure is reached.

Re: Water pump location

Thanks for the info as I have searched all over my 2012 Kodiak 263RLSL looking for the water pump but never thought to "listen"! Duh! Understand there is a filter that needs to be cleaned periodically.

Our 263RLSL water pump is located behind the vented area under the kitchen stove. Unscrew the panel, and you will see your hot water heater to the right, with the bypass valves in front of it. The water pump is to the left of the heater.

Probably wouldn't hurt to check the filter (it's on the input side of the pump), but low water flow is the key. If you've got lottsa water, the filter is probably ok.

I had some gunk growing inside my water tank that clogged up my filter, and was a mess cleaning out. Have had no problem since using an additive that keeps my drinking water clear and clean. I also learned to run my fresh water through a fine filter when filling the tank.

Vern, we had a problem with foul smelling water the second time we used our water tank. The rv shop near the campground recommended a solution to use and we are back to A-OK, but we take along some of that stuff when we go, now! Since an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, I have to ask what is the additive that you use? And what is this fine filter that you speak of?

You should also sanitize your fresh water tank....we do it prior to first trip of the season and at least two time during our camping season.

Here are instrutions. How to Sanitize Your RV Fresh Water System

Mom: I'll have to go out to the trailer and see what the additive is. I'll get back to you on that.

The "fine filter" is a normal house water filter. Dimensions are roughly 4"x 12", shape is a cylinder. Got it at a plumbing shop. Good down to 200 microns, as I recall.

I installed hose connectors on the input and output sides, and run all my water from strange places through it.

Mom: So, here's what I use in my drinking water:

CAMCO Drinking Water Freshener, 16 oz bottle, use one oz per 20 gallons. I add about that concentration every time I add water. Works good, so far.

I wonder how whiskey would work? Probably cheaper.

Why worry about water quality if you're going to drink whiskey?
Just saying...

Exclamation Kodiak 200QB Water Pump Location??

I have looked in the bathroom access where the water heater and shutoffs are located but can not locate the water pump. Any help out there? No other access areas can be found.

Under the kitchen sink maybe? Only suggestion I can make is listen for it, should make some kind of noise when its pumping.

That's what I was thinking too. Mine makes a heck of a racket so it should be easy to find.

I'm betting under the sink too.
Although similarities between make and model can mean ZERO in this industry, our two TT's share similar layout.

Mine is behind a panel that serves as a false back on the under-sink cabinet.
