Water pump location

As others said under the sink. That's where our's is on our Kodiak however I have to pull the drawer under the stove then reach back under the sink to access it!

Turn it on, it'll tell you where it is.

Turn it on... if you don't hear anything you are in a world of hurt.

They are noisy, that is the easiest way to track them down. They put them in some very unlikely places. Usually though they will be relatively close to the area where you fresh water tank is... if you can find that.

By looking at the floor plan I would guess in the pantry if it doesn't go all the way to the floor. Next guess is under the stove.

As far as I can tell it is located somewhere under the refrigerator with no access panel. How the heck do you get to that? I have made a lot of calls but no one can tell me how to get to it.

The location of this pump is under the refrigerator. Had to cut a hole in the paneling and screw in a vent to cover the hole. Not an easy find and a poor place to locate it!

Dutchmen didn't create an access panel?

My '07 Colorado has access panels under the fridge to get to both the HW and furnace, as well a nice panel in the bottom of the entertainment unit for access to the outside water, cable, phone, etc.

If you have to get behind another panel, get yourself a set of "O ring" picks, take the 90 degree pick and gently work it behind the panel you want to get to and pull in a kind of rocking motion. The panels under many other items are attached using pin nails, very small head, with very little actual grip strength. Once you have the panel ready to go back in place, a nice decorative screw at each corner allows for eays access for the next repair or upgrades.

I located the water pump in the front storage compartment, on the driver side. There is a box Built around it. I thought it was vibrating really bad as the noise was pretty loud. I found the pump was secure but pipes were vibrating against the flooring. Was able to reduce the noise substantially with some insulation.

Get some rubber coated hose clamps and secure them to the floor. Eventually the insulation will work loose and you will be right back to noise. Clamps will also help keep the fittings from fatiguing and eventually leaking.

If you use some rubber flex hose connecting the pump, it will significantly lessen the vibration from the hoses themselves. Also, use a rubber mat under the water pump so the pump doesn't vibrate on the floor.

Actually a little noise is a good thing. If there is an invisible leak somewhere and the pump cycles at times there's your clue.
Many years ago, because I had to haul my water and it wasn't always available, I attached an LED to the switch side. Pump cycles, LED lights up and tells me so.
