The electric side of my water heater decided it was time to give me issues now that it has gotten extremely cold lol. I need access to the back of this thing. Anyone know how I go about that? Why....why did they put all the stuff that could potentially go wrong with this unit on the backside?
........maybe it's time to consider just going tankless and being done with the whole thing.
Oy.....ok, i took the panel next to the fireplace off and I think I understand. So to get to anything you really need to access you have to remove it don't you? Either that or find a way to remove the faux stone and fireplace, which isn't a very appealing idea either. Unless someone has a trick?

Make note of that controller back there also for that time when you might need it.

I had an issue with mine same model same year, and it was the ground. I got to it by taking the fireplace out. Very simple and it plugs in to an outlet behind the fireplace. Mine was blowing the ground fault breaker in the back bathroom.
