Luke warm water in Voltage 3200

We're doing the shake down trip, and wife complaining about "hot water". It's fine for me, but I shower with cold water. Even with both electric & gas heaters on, we only get luke warm water. Any ideas?

Double check that the outside shower/water valves are both shut off. Was told on my PDI that that would effect the inside water temp. if I remember correctly.

That's interesting. I actually have mine on since I've been using the wash down when getting back from the beach. I'll go turn them off and see if that affects it.

I do have to ask. Why would that affect it?

Friend, I turned off my outside valves and now we have hot water. We'll see how hot when the wife takes a shower.

Guess I remembered correctly from my PDI walk around. Just don't ask me why it would effect it.

Never took my panel off to check, but on PDI was told to close valves when not in use, due to check valve allowing the cold water side to T into Hot Water line. Never thought to ask why, but from others photos it is a spider nest in there!

Like why does my shower in the house become scalding hot when I shut the shower valve off while I lather up?

Just one of them life long MYSTERIES?

Just a small mystery but the scientific answer says hot water molecules are lighter than cold water molecules and therefore rise to the highest point to be ready make you dance in the soapy shower.

Aw, now you've spoiled the mystery.

I'll have to find something new to ponder now.

With the wet bay mixing valve (faucet) has anyone tried check valves (one way valve) on the feed lines to the mixing valves?

Check valves allow liquids to flow one way only. With that being said, the flow from the supply lines would be toward the faucet, just as it is now so check valves would be a wasted exercise.

My thought was leaving the mixing valve open (I forgot, laziness)or other reasons.

Problem solved when leaving out side shower (mixing valve) on.
I installed check valves on the hot and cold water lines feeding the mixing valve. I tested it for a day. Heater did not cycle on\off repeatedly water was very hot.
