Lesson Learned

Well, after my first trip and sewage dump, I forgot to close the gate valves on the dump lines. Dumping after the second trip was not much fun! Anyway, hope this is a reminder for others not to do something that bone-headed.

Re: Lesson Learned

Actually wasn't as bad as it could have been. Still pretty gross though.

Needless to say, should be a long while before I forget to do that again.

Re: Lesson Learned

Well now that I have my morning coffee all over my monitor, I have to ask. Did you wear gloves? . Other than your hands on lesson did you enjoy the trailer and your weekend?

Cheers

Re: Lesson Learned

Better to have your morning coffee on your monitor than recycled and all over your sweater. But yep, I had the gloves on thankfully.

Trailer was great, only a couple of minior issues which should be fixed. We are off to Coeur D'Alene Idaho this weekend. Leave Thursday, return Monday. Can't wait!

Re: Lesson Learned

Like our first trip hooked up the Sani flush hose and turned it on only to realize that is a no no, as the tanks started to fill and back up lucky there was nothing but water in them

Re: Lesson Learned

Well thejean, you are not alone. Except with our prior trailer the knife was stuck in the open position (even though the handle was in the closed position) and I didn't know it until I took the cap off to attach the sewer hose. SURPRISE!!! I had all I could do just to get out of the way of the flood waters...

Re: Lesson Learned

I hesitate to call that stuff water! Lol

I did manage to get the cap back on rather quickly and then shut the valves but there was still some in the line downstream of the valve. I cacked the cap again and let it drain into the hose while I held the house under the cap. Once the flow subsided I reconnected the hose and then let the valves. Mess was not too bad considering what might have been if I had just jumped back and let her fly.

Kinda felt a bit like Robin Williams in the movie RV at that point. All of a sudden that movie didn't seem so funny anymore.

Re: Lesson Learned

I am hoping you wont have a Shi%#y outlook on camping now. Lol. Hey The Jean did you check out the LED lighting place for cool lights in the outdoor kitchen. Gonna order them and install, 35 bucks or so with remote. It will look cool at night and dont think it will draw bugs.

Re: Lesson Learned

I know this question wasn't directed at me. So if you don't mind, I'll just drop this link in and be gone:
https://www.rigidindustries.com/category-s/144.htm
I use the 6 led for the porch and hitch light and the 3 LED for the interior lights, I've spent countless hours trying to find a decent replacement and this is the closest that I've come. They are available in Canada through I think Western Warehouse which sells only wholesale, but can be available through any auto or RV retailer at about the same price as the US webpage.

Re: Lesson Learned

No problem Grump Choices are the best. I will check yours out but this thing for 35 bucks has great reviews and remote. I will fit perfect in our outside kitchens.

Re: Lesson Learned

Neicho,
That is very cool. I sequence my lights to music for Halloween and Christmas so I know how you feel about colors and changing lights. I thought you were looking for replacement LED's for the incandescent power robbers all over the trailer. I've attached a link to Ray Wu's store so you can compare pricing and product, Ray has been very good to us in the lighting community.:
