To no surprise I too am having issues with my Valterra cable valves on both greys and black tank.
My question is, what are those who are switching to electric valves using? I'm hoping there is an aftermarket that can utilize the existing Valterra flanges so I do not need to replace them.
Also, curious where you placed the actuator buttons for the electric valves.
I thinking that all the valves are the same size. They mounted my switches on the frame on the driver's side-which I hate since I need to get LOW in order to see them. I wish they would have installed some sort of flat right angle plate that I could have seen easily.
I'll either mount the switches in the bathroom, or outside in the the vent compartment of the fridge. I don't have any rear compartments near the drains.
When I replaced mine with the electric valves, I ran extra wires from the valves and placed the control boxes above the tank display console. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

My black valve is bigger then two gray valves. On mine the cables froze up. so I rerouted and shortened cables. The gray tank cable was coiled and very long so I shortened and replace the cable. I thought about electric but after seeing how the old cables ran I decided to stay mechanical. I also had to change the 90 elbow coming out of the black so I could remove and repair the valve with new gaskets. I also discovered that my black tank was falling out of the hangers. Improper hanging of the support's. I will see if I can add pictures.
