I have no idea but how about disconnecting your controller from the system and reconnecting to force a reset?

That's the plan tomorrow. I was hoping for a simpler fix, but like every I.T. guy I talk to says, "Did you unplug it and plug it back in?" LoL I'll keep you updated.

When you power it on, does the display light ALL the squares?

I'm not sure it's ever been powered off? The solar system was installed before I bought the trailer. I was running the generator (for monthly maintenance), while plugged into shore power, and had the A/C unit on. Everything was fine until I turned the generator off. The A/C quit, the solar panel displayed the black squares, the shore power tripped the outlet, and now I'm at a loss. I reset the outlet, checked all the fuses, but still nothing. My goal today is to "unplug" everything and see what happens.

WOW, sounds like something happened with the transfer switch. Might have been a surge or something.

Obviously, running the generator while plugged into shore power shouldn’t cause a problem because there is an automatic transfer switch but just curious why you were running it while on shore power? The best way to maintain your generator is to have a load on it while you run it anyway. Anyway, good luck chasing this one down. It does sound like a surge to me too but I would think a blown fuse in the solar controller would cause a blank display and not all the boxes. Maybe try calling the controller manufacturer too.

Good luck.

Found your manual on line:

https://www.samlexamerica.com/docume...-1116-Lrez.pdf

There is a contact number there too. Didn’t see your issue in the trouble shooting but only spent a minute looking.
