No battery cables

Hey all I'm new to this and need help on installing batteries in my camper. There are no battery teminals anywhere! I do have a 6600 series power converter model 6612 in it that has 2 ac breakers and two dc fuses. I looked over all the wiring and seen no place to hook batteries up. I can hook batteries up to it right? It looks as though someone has took batteries out and straight hooked it up for only plug in camping. Anyone know anything about this or where I could get a wiring diagram because I don't want to take it to a dealer to get reamed. Thanks!

That's it! Thanks for the reply now hopefully I can get this thing up and going. Was thinking of putting a 2 battery system on it and wiring up an inverter for plug in access. Any thoughts or tips?

good big batteries are big bucks! 6 volt batterirs are more robust than 12 volt! good inverters/convertors can be costly for good ones! what goes out from the batteries must go back in! good big batteries are expensive! just my HO

I found some marine deep cell batteries for 120 a peice and found a 10,000 watt inverter for 300.00. It just broke my wifes heart when I told her that the outlets don't work unless we would be plugged in. We plan on doing a lot of rustic camping, just don't like the idea of going camping and another camper being 20' away. We like going off the grid when we go camping.

Marine strating/deep cycle batteries are not a true RV deep cycle, they are a trade off between a regular starting battery and atrue deep cycle.

You can find deep cycle 12v and run them in parallel, or as Golden says run 2-6v (golf cart batteries) in series. Same space used, but more reserve capacity with the 6v's.

You will find that people that have been around the block a few times are running the 6v's.

10,000 watt inverter, that's 87 amps and for only three hundred bucks? More like 1200 bucks for an inverter that size. You'll need a very large battery bank to service an inverter that large. I bet it's a 1k or one thousand watt inverter.

Either way, you'll need a way to recharge your battery bank while you're out there boon docking.
