Inverter constantly runs

I have a '95 Dutchmen Classic and the inverter constantly runs. Connected a new battery and it still continues to run. Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Inverter/Converter/Charger

I have a converter/charger. It converts 120 volts AC into 12 volts DC. The fan runs when it is converting more than a trickle of 12 volts. Battery charging is one thing that causes the fan to run. Retracting the awning sometimes triggers the fan to run. If your refrigerator cools on 12 volts, that would cause the fan to run. Lots of lights, Tv, etc could cause it. Defective batteries are a possibility.

I also have an inverter. It converts 12 volts DC to 120 volts AC. It also has a fan that runs when the inverter is working hard. Similarly, 120 volt appliances can cause the fan to run.

A malfunctioning converter or inverter could also cause the fan to run.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!

Thanks Persistent!
So if I were to turn off everything the fan should theoretically stop right? I am going to try that.

I agree. Pulling 12 volt fuses may isolate the cause.
