Cellular Amplifier - Extender?

Just curious if any of you use one of these in your rig?

Being a full timer, I'm come to not rely on the availability/quality of advertised WiFi at most RV resorts & campgrounds. They all say they have it... and they do... but it's rarely adequate. As such, I've got an unlimited data plan for my phone that I use as a hotspot.

The problem arrives when I'm at remote places, far away from cell towers. Most of the time I can get at least a single bar, sometimes 2 outside of the rig... but inside, it's another story. Many times I get the dreaded "No Service" message.

It'd sure be nice to boost that signal, and I know it can be done... but there are lots of options, and I'm looking for recommendations. I've read some of the reviews, and many of them sound as if they're written by sales people... so I tend not to trust them. First hand knowledge & recommendations are always better.

From what i remember seeing from other forums most use Wilson amplifiers. I was just talking to the wife about it a couple days ago since we are in the same boat and use our phones as a hotspot since it seems most campgrounds up north either has no internet or it sucks. Our last trip i wished we had an amp.
Others swear by them that it boost their signal to full bars.

I was just thinking the other day I haven't seen CaleJohnson on the Forum in a long time, this is the kind of question that'd be straight up his alley.
That being said I have seen one advertised on this site don't remember the name but it claims to boost the signal 35 x signal strength. I am sure now that we are discussing amplifiers that ad will pop back up quite frequently.

Wilson is the good stuff. We had one a few years back and it worked great on the old 3G networks. Don't have one at the moment.
