I can promise you, your RV had 12v power. is this a new purchase and if so, have the lights worked since you bought it?

The battery should be located on the front of the rig usually by the front jack, are there bulbs presnt in the sockets? are the bulbs still serviceable? Is the battery charged?

Do you have a vent somewhere that looks like this?
If the battery is inside it will be vented

You need to be a little more specific with info to help isolate any problems.
When are the lights not working, When the trailer is just plugged into your tow vehicle? When it is plugged into 120volt shore power? Or trailer not connected to any outside power source?

You indicated that the previous owner indicated that there is no battery and that you cannot find the battery so perhaps it/they were removed and not replaced. Find the battery charger and note the size and color of the wires, usually red for positive and black for negative; than look where the battery is supposed to be and see if you can find the wires. If you find the wires and they are not attached to anything you have found the problem, no battery. Since the lights work on shore power you know that the converter (120Vac to 12Vdc) is working correctly. So, the problem is probably no battery which is also needed when the engine is running to power the 12Vdc system. Also, if you go on the Keystone/Dutchmen website or do a google search for the wiring guide used by Keystone/Dutchmen it will provide the color coding scheme that identifies which wire does what. Here's the website: https://www.keystonerv.com/innovatio...r-coded-wiring

For a basic understanding of the electrical system in your RV watch the Keystone video at:

Hope this helps you solve your problem. Have a great time on the road.

Could your travel trailer be a Dutchmen Aerolite M-25FK?

https://www.tulsarv.net/product/used...5fk-1205801-29

Look for the battery compartment inside just in front of the driver's side wheel well. There is a vent there that looks like a battery compartment vent.

Take pictures and post them. The space for a missing battery box may be under a dinette seat or in a closed space that is part of the cabinetry.

You at least have to tell us where and how you found it.

So the previous owner told you there was not battery but there actually is one? Assume then it is dead and needs replacement? Let us know the details when you can.

Glad you found it.
