Aspen Trail 2340 Roof P enetration Location for Wires.

Hello,

I recently bought a new 2021 Aspen Trail 2340 and am curious where the best location to drill through the roof to run wires to my solar controller/batteries.
Please let me know y’all’s set ups. Pictures encouraged..I’m looking at installing a Renogy 200watt solar kit.. or something similar.

Thanks,
JohnnyPulls

Congrats on the purchase. I have family in Twin Falls—not too far from you.

As far as the penetration I am assuming you can’t take advantage of an existing penetration like a vent or maybe even the tv antenna or even A/C? I have a different model (Voltage) so can’t really help.

If not then someone on here will likely have an idea.

I ran the wiring down one of my vents https://www.dutchmenowners.org/forum...html#post15064

Then in the basement, I cut the vent pipe, pulled the wire out, made a slot in the pipe for the wire, installed a coupling to reconnect the vent and applied silicone. Hard to see in the pic, but it is the white coupling on the black pipe on the left.

Do you have a roof mounted refrigerator vent. If so it gives you good access to the inside of your trailer with no drilling or additional caulking.

On mine I went through the refrigerator vent, under some kitchen cabinets, through the floor, under the trailer along the frame and into the front storage compartment.
