2022 Coleman Rubicon Solar Overvoltage

Hello all,
I just got a 2022 Coleman by Dutchman Rubicon CM1628BH22. I put a larger battery on the TT. Afterwards, I noticed an error on the charge controller (b03-Battery over voltage than > 17.5V). Not sure if I have the wiring right and can't find diagram online. Would someone be able to snap a pic of there wiring for me please? Thanks.

Please cycle through the settings and make sure

1) charge is 14
2) equalization is off

I don’t know why you have an over voltage. The two things above are a start to check

Forgot to mention, nothing happens when I push the buttons on the controller. I tried to change the battery type from AGM to Lead Acid and no joy.

If you already have it set to AGM, then that’s the best you can do with the switch.

Sometimes Bluetooth will offer more options. It’s unlikely, but if the device appears on Bluetooth, then more options may appear.

The next step would then be checking the wiring on the charge controller. If the wiring is not corroded and properly connected, then replacing the charge controller should fix it.

If you do replace it there’s many options. I’m a fan of Victron. For smaller systems with a 200 watt panel or less, a 75/15 MPPT is a good match. Get the blue tooth enabled model and you will be able to adjust it.

I just thought of something else.

The ac to dc converter could cause this issue. Try shutting the circuit breaker on this converter off to see if the issue goes away.

A more advanced converter might be set to a flooded lead acid battery that could automatically enter an equalization mode giving a high voltage. A normal converter could just fault out.

If you have a dc to dc converter that charges when you drive, this could also be an issue.

I imagine that I have an AC to DC converter. I don't know where the breaker might be. One of the things I have tried was all breakers I could find off, no shore power, battery and solar panel disconnected, and than slowly reconnected everything. No joy. Also tried new battery. I think the charge controller is bad? Thanks for the assist.

Camping World strikes again. Sorry to post this without looking at everything. When I checked the wires this morning, I got about 13v out of all the wires leading to the charge controller. I checked everything else but I didn't check to see if the wires leading to the controller were attached correctly. I ASSumed that the panels were connected to the panel slot and the battery was connected to the battery slot. They were not. Thanks for trying to help Chrisski.

I swapped wires and got it fixed.
