2013 Denali Satellite Hookup

I am trying to hookup my Dish Tailgater to my rig. I have two input plugs outside the trailer and two output plugs inside the trailer. I have tried every combination I can think of and the Dish receiver cannot find a signal. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I think what I would do is to run coax straight from the Tailgater to the receiver and then to the TV. Once you know you have a signal then you can start with the process of elemination with the onboard connections.

It's easier to work with a known factor than trying to chase elusive cables and connections.

One thing to mention, a friend of mine couldn't find the satellite signal on a new tailgater. After doing the direct coax runs he found it was a problem with the power adapter's connection end at the Tailgater's input.

Tried direct coax from tailgater to receiver to TV....worked just fine. Tried both internal coax in Denali and won't receive a signal. Tried all combinations and still won't work.

I'm sure some of the Denali owners can be helpful now. At least you know the Tailgater and receiver works so now it's just a matter of finding the combination of making the onboard connections work. It could be something as simple as loose connection at a splitter or the OTA antenna amplifier needing switched off.

I give up, there. Are only two cables as input jacks and two cables as output jacks. I have tried hookup to all combinations....no joy. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

It is not uncommon to find that cables have not been hooked up.

I my case I could get off air and cable, but no sat. I started opening things up and find cables not attached to the out lets.
