Winter travel BC style

Monday Dec. 3 we returned from a visit to Vancouver BC to our home in Kamloops. We drove over the Coquihalla highway. It is a mountain pass with an elevation of about 1200 meters at the summit. This pic was take about 15 to 20 k from the summit.
This is picture of the 3rd vehicle that went off the road into the snow bank. We were east bound. It was snowing like the dickens 16 to 25 cm. when we came across the car. There was a tow truck on site. The driver was in good hands and no injuries. A Super B flat deck tractor trailer was in the ditch just before we took the pic that caused a 20 min. delay. Interesting to note we have no, zero , snow in Kamloops...not like our friends in Northern BC and the Western Provinces.

The snow has arrived for some of us.

Take care all and drive and travel safely.

Sorry the pics is side ways...sort of like driving on icy roads..

Thanks for the pic Coops. I'm glad you made it home safely. That highway is a real piece of work in the winter time...The only other i have travelled & is just as bad is Donnas pass going from Nevada into California...40 miles down hill.
