If you really want to have some head shaking moments, search for the names of the companies and the people involved and see how things go astray.
Unfortunately 3 large corporations control 80%-90% of the RV market. Thor, Winnebago and Forrest River.

I bought my 2015 F-350 diesel dually Platinum in 2015. All options including extended 7 year warranty (less rear seat DVD player and snow plow prep) for an out the door price including taxes for 74 grand. Pulled my 3990 Voltage like it wasn't even there. Love it.

I would suggest you consider how you plan to use your RV, against what your budget would allow. We purchased our Aspen Trail 1900RB new 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with it. I would also like to add that the dealer has a lot to do with the condition of your rv at the time of purchase.. We had some minor issues with ours but have been extremely pleased with it. I made some mods like changing from 2 to 3 steps at the entrance, replaced the single 12v deep cycle battery with two 6 volt golf cart batteries, replaced the dinette with a credenza with a fold down table, added a couple of office chairs, mounted a TV on a swing mount.. and other minor mods.. It suits us fine and has functioned very well. It was well within our budget. Our trips are generally 6 to 7 days, although we're planning a 3 week trip next summer. I generally avoid a lot of the fancy gadgets, because I believe that simple is reliable...

We also have the 1900rb Aspen Trail about the same age as yours. When we took delivery there we only a couple of punch list things to fix. So far nothing really has broken. I am pretty handy around the house and have also done some livable things. Pull out metal drawers (Ikea) for each side of the bed, larger reversible bathroom fan, Change both faucets to metal, added shelve over sink, metal shelves in the bathroom over toilet, command hocks around the inside to hang stuff. Cloth shower curtain. And the most important Goodyear Endurance tires. 2 12 volt batteries. Hitch bracket on the front to store the hitch. Had vinyl wrap put on both front storage doors and lower part of entry door.l

and why would you buy a Ford? Heated tailgate option that important? LOL...and sorry for the poke.
I'll probably buy another Toyhauler in a few years. My Voltage Epic 3800 hasn't had that many problems. And just like our first toyhauler, a Jayco T29A, we're still taking notes on what we like and what we don't.
Being my wife's "Enginerd" and able to fix just about anything. I have just accepted that I'll be doing work on it from day one. So it goes.
For the OP, the first thing I would do is take time to attend as many RV shows as you can this Winter. Keep a running log of what you see, what you like and what you want...and start honing in on the trailer that best fits your needs.
Just thoughts,
Pirate
