Waste pipe PVC or ABS

I am in the process of fixing a cracked ABS pipe on my gray line running from the gray tank to the waste gate.

I can only find PVC locally (Home Depot, etc) and don't even see much available online for ABS.

What are your thoughts on using the PVC for the repair? Because of the location I need to replace the gate valve and coupler, a few 45 degree bends, and about two feet of pipe. I plan on using rubber couplings to join the PVC to ABS.

If you are using the no-hub rubber connectors ABS to PVC is fine. Make sure you get the ones that are the correct size.

Wahoonc is absolutely correct, but I would first look again for ABS. Our Home Depot and Lowe's both carry a good selection of ABS fittings.

I ended up using pvc with rubber couplings on both sides. I still couldn't find ABS so schedule 40 PVC was it.

Go Rolling Stones on it and paint it black.

Around there they both suck...

I use a local plumbing supply house.

Most Plumbers usually have a bunch of pieces of ABS around and you can get them...often for nothing.
