Voyager 1004D

Morning,
I just purchased a 2000 voyager PPP up! We have to pick it up in Michigan as we live in Pa. Bought it sight unseen just pictures. Great price $1700. Pics looked great. I'll be picking it up this week and could use some advice on pre trip. Also we may camp while we are there since it 10 hrs. away. Anything special we need to look at before hitting the road?
How about use? Water system, propane, electrical. It seems like a lot but I have plenty of time to go over some stuff before we hit the road.

Thanks for such a nice welcome from the site members. It's nice to have a place to get some answers to my question.

Get the date codes from the tires, repack the wheel bearings BEFORE you hit the road. Unless the owner can prove it was done in the past year. If the tires are more than 7 years old by the DOT codes plan on replacing them before you start the drive. Also check the date codes on the LP tanks, they have to be less than 12 years old if you are going to be able to have them filled.

Make sure everything works to your satisfaction. Check for soft spots in the floor around the corners and edges, also look at the seams on the top for clean solid caulking.

Those are the main items that come to mind at the moment.
