Voltage Step Lights... ???

Ok guys, feel kinda silly asking this question... but before I tear something up, how do I get to the bulb on these things?

I'm thinking the round amber lens just 'pops off' of the mount... but I was out there for about 5 mins this morning with a tiny screwdriver, and it didn't seem to wanna budge. So, short of grabbing the thing with a pair of channel locks, what am I missing?

Also, since I'm asking... anyone know what type of bulb is a replacement? I'm guessing it's gotta be something like a 194.

Thanks...

The step light looks like the upper clearance lights. Try using two screwdrivers, the lens is made not to fly off. I think that's why they sell the thing as a unit and not just a lens.

I took a look at one I have in the junk drawer. It seems as if a screwdriver bent at an angle will get under the lens since the lens proper snaps over the base.

Just came in from the 30 degree weather after taking another look at the lamp base. I saw what looked like a cut out in the lens where a screwdriver would go. Probably still need two screwdrivers.
Not going back out there until spring so good luck!

Ha! Ok, thanks... We're in the mid 50s, but the first rain in over a month is moving in for a few days. Might just wait until it goes away to tackle it.
