toilet question

I bought a new HBSl 34 foot in 2015, we drove it across the US back and forth, I didnt like that excitement, and this year bought a 1994, 12x35 trailer in a campground in CT> that being said, the toilet is most likely a 94 and my behind has turned 62 ( along with wifes but we wont mention that),, I am looking for a bigger replacement ( yes this has a black tank I have to empty weekly into sewer system and they frown on modern toilets I understand, ) thanks for recommendation.

Question: When you say that you are looking for a "bigger replacement"... what exactly do you mean by that?

- a taller toilet?

- a larger seat?

- a model with a 'larger capacity'?

- or a residential type toilet?

They do make taller RV toilets, so your rear-end doesn't sit lower than your knees... so that would be a simple replacement. Check out models from Dometic or Thetford.

If it's just the seat that needs to be changed... almost any any residential style toilet seat that you can get at Lowe's or Home Depot will work. And if you need a taller and/or larger seat than standard (like a Big John seat), you can order those online.

And if you mean a residential style toilet (with a reservoir)... campgrounds usually frown on those because (as a rule) they usually use more water than you might use with a foot-operated RV toilet, resulting in more sewer volume going into their system. That said... while I'm not sure if the floor-mounts are the same, I'm sure one could be installed, especially if you don't intend on traveling with your new rig.

thanks, been looking at amazon reviews, but wanted real world experience,, and yes, taller and longer, my Dutchman is big and offers room,,,, and this 12x35 wont ever move again, since 1995,, but toilets have come a long way,,and you are correct, they frown here on real toilets.. the space is as small as a TT also to get in there to replace, but guess that will have to happen,,
