So where do you keep you RV when not using it
Just wondering where everyone keeps their RV when not being used?.
We have lived on 5 acres for the past eight years now so mine is stored by my home. I have water, sewer & 30 amp service set-up for it.
It's our emergency place to stay when :The Big One" happens here in California.
We live one mile on the east side of the San Andres Fault line. So when it happens and most of California slides out into the ocean we will have beach front property.

My wife and I are fortunate enough to keep it for free at my in-laws house, just up the street. We live in a neighborhood, and they have an RV Pad, (we don't) but their 5th wheel is too big to park there, so we get to squeeze ours in.
Works out great, is close enough to home, and isn't costing us a penny, which is really nice. Long term, I'd like to get some property and build a house and of course a shop to park it inside of, along with some other items.

I use to have 11 acres and then I stored it where ever I felt like it, the property I own now is a little over and acre, tighter than I'm used to, but I store mine beside the house on an RV pad during the summer months and will store it in the back corner of the lot for the winter, just to get it out of the way and I'll park the RAM 3500 on the RV pad where it was all last winter. When winter comes I'll have lots of questions about storing a fifth as this is my first. Many similarities to a TT but never dealt with an ac unit before and a few other things.

I do have a 40' metal building on my 5 acres. Doors aren't high enough plus no sewer in it. Keep my F-350, my Burgman & son's Victory MC + everything else in it.
Voltage sits outside but I did make pads for the wheels to sit on. Would love to put a cover over it. Just not sure the County would go for it. Plus they don't need to see the sewer or 30 amp service.

Mine is sitting about 3 feet off my back steps. Keep it plugged up to a 30 amp circuit. Plan on a carport or large barn soon.

I have a pad I poured next to our garage and behind a 6 foot fence for when it is here. I also have a storage lot to keep it out of the way... though I am waiting on a covered storage facility for it.
I have a batter box lock on it, spare tire lock, and propane cylinder lock for when it is in storage.

During the summer it is parked on a pad next to our garage with a 30amp hookup......during our very cold, long, harsh winters, it is parked in a barn on a farm with lots of barn cats to keep the mice away!

I put up a 60' carport last year next to the pole barn I built to fit my first camper. I enclosed three sides of it and have 30amp power and water. After trying to get all of the oxidation off the paint and seeing tire checking on my second 5th wheel, I'll never store mine outside again.

Sigh, I guess I'm not like you big leaguers...I've only got 94 acres and a nice level graveled "trailer park".
Have a 70'x17' concrete pad for parking the Voltage on and long enough for the truck to have a few feet of concrete in front when hooked up and enough at the rear for the ramp to be down and a couple of feet of concrete further back.
View from going up the hill to where the Hacienda is:
A view from the Northeast. Had a pole and meter put in as part of the building the Hacienda, its another 200 amp service so at times there can be three 50 amp trailers hooked up. Don't know that it will ever happen, but planned for it!!
Hmm...pics show when it was still just dirt. Graded it level and put a 3" layer of 3/4" road base and 1" of crushed gravel on top of that.
Also did the "water down the hill" project in 2013. Tied a 1" PEX tube to the well and buried it on the bluff where the Hacienda is and down at the "trailer park". Down the hill there's no way to get the excavator on that slope to trench. So ran the PEX in a 2" grey electrical conduit. Shut off valve at well and two self draining hydrants in the trailer park.
Well water ain't very good...so RO system in the house...next project is getting it connected to the "water down the hill" so I can have well water for washing the pad, weed fires, etc. and RO system water for the Voltage.

Thanks Don. 19 years of hard work turning the acreage into what I want...or should I say what She wants! LOL!!! Up on the bluff where the Hacienda is, back in 1997 I built a 40 x 60 building known as the "Toybarn". East of the trailer park and Hacienda is mostly canyons of limestone shale, pinon pines, cedars, junipers. Our own nature preserve!
Just for grins a few pics from the Cuddyback camera from the last couple of days...
The mule deer are beginning to show up...
The wild turkey eggs have hatched and the young are already bigger than chickens...
And one of the red foxes shows up every evening for dinner...
Makes for a wonderful place to call home!!!

Added a 35x15 addition to my barn when we bought a used motor home in '2010. In 2013 we sold it and bought a 35' Denali 330rls--only prob was that it was 39'6". ( oops ). Another trip to the metal dealer and with a little modification we have a 45x 15 bay! 50 amp with parking pads.

During the summer months our trailer is stored at my mother's place. She has a couple acres so we park our extra junk at her place. We live on a city lot, and the city gets grumpy if we park out 5th wheel in front of our house for more than a couple of days while getting ready for a trip.
During the winter months we pull it about 175 miles away to store it at my in-laws. They have an 80X100 steel building that my father in law parks his tractors, their travel trailer, and a few old cars in.
